I have been away for a long time but I m finally getting back to GMing
I m looking to see if anyone would be interested in a game in the Eberron setting.
Here a re a few things to keep in mind before applying.
I'll try to make a bit Noir, meaning that the lines between good and evil are bit blurred. The war has been over for two years but in the shadows Nations and others factions are vying for power.
Characters will need to have factions? They can be the Nation they come from. Criminal organisation or Houses.
The main story will take place abord the Crimson Blade a sky ship owned by a strange and powerful mage man known only as the Magiste.
Level will be set at 2 and you can use any methods for characteristics.
Backstory will be very important. Anything written will be used in the campaign.

Name: Ambre d'Cannith Class: Artificer (Battle Smith) Race: Mark of Making Human Backstory: Ambre grew up watching her father and mother help build the warforged men who were sent out to fight in the Last War. And with the war's conclusion she watched her House shatter into factions and the in fighting begin. To Ambre the answer had always been clear. They helped build the warforged machines that had been used to fight in the war, Merrix should be the one to run the House. Unfortunatly, many others didn't agree with this claim, and Ambre and her family, along with the other supporters of Merrix became targets of attacks by agents of the other two barons, especially with both Ambre and her father being Dragonmarked.
As Ambre became more involved with the inner workings of Cannith, it was decided that it was in the houses best interests to assign her a discrete bodyguard. Cannith's decision was a Dragonborn who had come to the House seeking knowledge about the items they made. Ambre wasn't thrilled at first, thinking that he had only agreed so that he could look over her shoulder while she worked on various projects for the house, but a true friendship soon blossomed from an arrangement made mostly out of necessity.
Name: Domnhall Verger Class: Warlock/The Undying Race:Half-Elf Backstory: Born into a family of worshippers of the Blood of Vol,Domnhall Verger always sought to do MORE than simply explore the mysteries of Death and become a simple Seeker of the Divinity Within. Impatient and eager to learn, the young half-elf somehow attracted the attention of Lady Illmarrow herself, who promised to show Domnhall the mysteries of undeath. The half-elf agreed and was imbued with magical powers that he barely understood. He returned to his Blood of Vol family, full of power, but with the persistent whispering voice of Lady Illmarrow in his head. He has come to Magiste, hoping to find some answers, and perhaps some way to release him from the deal he had made with his new patron.
Race: Beasthide Shifter (Going for more wolf like behavior for pack but beasthide for stats and more of a sturdy build)
Backstory (might be a long rant but had this character in mind for a while, we can work on details to fit campaign if you like):
Ryan grew up in the care of a wizard called Cahad. He was a human boy as far as he knew. This wizard was well known within the region and sometimes took apprentices. During Ryans childhood a young elf was training with Cahad called Merith Fenwynn. This elf was sent here by his parents, noble folk who heard of the wizard and felt their child could learn much from him. When Ryan got old enough he often tried to sneak to their sessions and try to learn from them. It did not take long for the wizard to notice Ryan and also let him train with them. When he was not training he lived with a few locals who took care of the wizards grounds. Ryan never really took to wizard training, even though Cahad put much effort into teaching him. At first he refused to teach him some fighting skills but Ryan was more inclined to be a warrior. Cahad was not pleased by this for some reason. But there was little he could do to stop Ryan from waving around his sword at the training sessions.
As they grew older Cahad took both of them to see renowned figures, important people the wizard needed to speak to but also experienced fighters and mages that would give a lesson to them as a favor for Cahad. But being a bit older made them bolder as well, they would sneak off and try to find some adventure. This never posed much trouble since the area they lived in was very safe. Untill one day Ryan and his elven friend were walking through the forest where they had walked many times before. They were ambushed by a band of goblins led by orc. Ryan, being the lesser experienced one battled some of the goblins as best he could. Trying to hold them off while Merith fought the orc leader. Merith proved an even match with the orc and even started to gain the upperhand. But Ryan was having trouble holding off that many goblins. So some started to slip past him to aid their orc leader, tilting the scales. After finally dispatching the last goblin Ryan hurried to Meriths aid only to see the orc deliver a killing blow to the elf. Ryan fell to his knees in shock. The orc laughed as he saw this and commanded two more goblins to finish Ryan off while moved on to his true destination.
The hope of still being able to help Merith went through Ryans mind, he knew magic could revive someone. But the emotion of rage was even stronger as he saw the goblins approach. The feeling overtook him as he felt a force inside him, his skin starting to change. Not having the time to think about it he just acted against the goblins slaying them and going to his friend. Carrying the elf back to the wizard to see only shocked faces and fearfull locals run away as Ryan asked for help. Finding Cahad it turned out he could not help Merith. Not just that he put a spell on Ryan knocking him out.
After waking up one of the caretakers gave him some food and told him what happened. That Ryan was a beastlike figure, a demon carrying the body of the dead elf. Cahad came to see him as well. It was as he feared he said. Cahad knew this might happen. Ryan's father was a beastman as well. After pushing the older caretakers and Cahad to tell him the full story he learned that his mother, a human, went against Cahad's wishes and fell in love with a beastman. His mother died at birth at the wizards grounds so his father came to get Ryan, to raise him. But Cahad had refused blaming them for the death of his mother, who had been a caretaker for the wizard. Both being hotheaded they fought and Cahad slew Ryans father. Since Cahad cared about Ryans mother and Ryan still looked like a human he hoped raising him would prevent Ryan from becoming this beast. To resist that heritage.
Ryan was not strong enough to fight Cahad, but he wanted to. And so he could no longer live there. He left to find out more about his past. Perhaps to find his fathers tribe. Staying near the forest he learned more about his animal side, he learned to embrace a hunters feeling. But while he was more beast than man anyone that saw him would attack him. This led to Ryan fighting elves and dwarves, becoming less friendly to them in return. And so Beowulf was born. A hunter that roamed the lands. Always wanting to help people but not trusting himself as he blamed himself for the death of Merith. The few people that could look past his animal side did however become good friends. Spread across the land in some towns Ryan would always come to their aid if they asked. One of them included a member of the Redcloak Battalion. Ryan aided a wounded group by serving as a scout for them after they found themselves in dire conditions after recent battles. In the meantime he would search for clues as to where his fathers tribe lived. Using his short list of allies to find clues to where they might of gone.

But something grew inside of him, a paranoia, and he began having nightmares of a great cataclysm. His parents took it as him being to close to the war and decided to send him to Gatherhold to be with his Aunt and Uncle. The night before the Mourning Tuck dreamed of his parents death at the hands of massive column of fire. He awoke in a cold sweat with the knowledge that they were gone, something awoke in him that day, a fire, an ambition, and a power. He began doing more work for the House, and eventually took a stewards position on the Crimson Blade.

Backstory: (in brief, for now) Born to a humble family in Zarash'ak, Ugarth was content with his life as a youth. His parents were porters, making an honest, but humble living in the city of stilts. Though they were good parents, they were also cultists of the Dragon Below, an inactive but devout cell waiting for their call to come. One night, they simply disappeared, leaving Ugarth alone. Ugarth received dispensation to travel, searching to cut out the influence where he might find it.
Fletcher was tasked during creation to make navigation possible in the slums with only his small-frame and determination. His creator often commented on his commitment to such a normal task, noting that is far more than a regular Warforged's set goal. Nonetheless, he was an expert tracker and was often revered for his relentless need to do his purpose. During the war between the skies, all Warforged were drafted, forcing Fletcher to be included and separated from his creator. Forming into an expert tracker, scout, and reconnaissance soldier, he moved through the ranks and became a general not soon after. His frame was improved to fit his design, and was given scale-armor that befitted the knightly order of the SteelShield Guardians, which were great bastions of law and devotion that fought for the people. During a skirmish, what seemed to be a simple task had become a war-zone, as Fletcher and his regiment were fired upon via ummeriton(magic-black metal formed from the crystallization of magma and volcanic material in rain) cannon that rained down bolts of lightning. Fletcher commanded the rest of his remaining squadron to escape and report back to the order, as he stayed behind to buy them time. He fought in a valiant effort, but was eventually shot straight through his scale-mail into a part of his memory-drive from a stray lightning bolt, knocking him down into a powerless sleep for 60 years. By the time he wakes up, the world he is in has now changed, and as he stands up to look for his order while now covered in moss, plantation, flowers and undergrowth, Fletcher will never be in the same plane of existence for quite some time. Holding on to the seal and scarf of the SteelShield Guardians, he holds out to find the knightly order, preserving their ideals, and finding out what happened during his slumber.
