Name: Race | Class: Background: Alignment: Backstory with Gundren:
Lia lived in Neverwinter with her mom, who works at a local tavern. The owner of the tavern is an old adventurer, who her mother use to travel with, and, on those old adventuring days, where her mom met her father. Lia does not know who her father is, but has a good idea due to her half-elven features, that he is not human.
Gundren often spends time in Lia's mother's tavern, and is friendly with the tavern owner. One of his brothers use to be part of their adventuring group, so Lia knows Gundren quite well, even having maybe called him uncle when she was quite a bit younger. He has been after her to 'get out der en do somethen fer yerself' for quite a while.
Name: Nilkhar Shinban Race | Class: Human Variant - Fighter -> Samurai Background: Earthspur Miner Alignment: Neutral Good Backstory with Gundren:
Raised as son of commoners. His mom was a really weak women who could barely walk without falling unconscious. His dad, a gifted men with great physique and willpower always worked hard for his family as a Earthspur Miner. As he grew up, he always felt guilty about the situation that his family was living and wanted to change the destiny that awaited them, so he started practicing martial arts and the way of the Great Sword, inspired by a Mighty Adventurer that saved once while he was playing at a nearby forest.
...
"Hey, Kiddo, destiny is just bullshit. Do you really believe that if you sit all day for all your day without doing anything a great fortune will come knocking your door? No. Fortune is granted by hardwork and a little of luck. Train. Train hard. Train until your hands become solid rocks, until your body can't sweat anything but blood. Be brave. Be strong. Only the strong rules and the weak decay."
...
After those words he would go to the woods every morning with a sword that he managed to get from that same mercenary and practice until midnight. Speed, endunrance, sword skills, everything. Now, in the day he turned 17, he walked into the tavern with the average equipment of a mercenary and was looking for a job. The whole tavern knew he was a newbie and couldn't be trusted that well, but Gundren got close to him.
"Hey, young man, I see you have a very well built body. I'll give you a chance. If you can knock off any man of this tavern and demostrate your ability, you're in"
Without any word, Nilkhar threw a Challange to a fairly strong men who was drinking at the bar. The man swung his battleaxe and Nilkhar his Greatsword and the fight started. At the end, the man ended unconscious under the floor with a stabbing Greatsword on his shoulder and a panting Nilkhar. He won, and Gunddren, with a little smile in his face brought him into the job as he said:
"You have potential kid. You must have trained hard to have those skills at your age, congratulations, you're in."
Name: Varis Dorn Race | Class: Half Elf Sorcerer Background: Hermit Alignment: Chaotic Neutral Backstory with Gundren: Brought up in Phandalin, Varis has found himself in Waterdeep and Neverwinter... continually looking to help where he can. Trying to seek revenge for his parents' death and trying to figure out just how he came to have these sorcerers ability, Varis came across Gundren in Waterdeep, when the dwarf caught wind of a small half elf dispatching bullies twice his size with relative ease. Gundren upon finding out about Varis' parents death, took the young boy under his wing and promised him that he could show him the world and keep him safe, if only he used his powers for the good of Gundren's pockets.
Name: Erasmus Race | Class: (Variant) human wizard. Background: Sage Alignment: Lawful Good Backstory with Gundren: Erasmus has known Gundren a long time. Erasmus worked for many years in the city of Waterdeep as a sage and scholar. He specialises in dwarven history and culture, and many years ago Gundren heard of him. The dwarf decided to test Erasmus’ knowledge and was surprised and impressed to find that a human sage would know as much as he does. Recently Erasmus has fallen on hard times - no one is really that interested in his knowledge and he’s too introvert to go out an market himself. When Gundren came asking if Erasmus knew anything about a lost dwarven mine, the wizard decided the best way to increase his knowledge was a first hand search. Hoping it would not be too difficult, but packing his travelling spell book just in case, Erasmus made himself available...
Kharnyl Deepdelver is a young dwarf of just 40 years. He has been tasked by his Temple's Hammer of War with helping the Rockseeker brothers establish a strong dwarven presence in the settlement of Phandalin. After years of training as an Unworked, he is eager to finally be regarded as a Tempered Forgesmith of the Temple and this mission could be his big shot. The gold dwarves of the shining south have been fortunate and prosperous, but with the Thundering and the collapse of the Great Rift in the Spellplague, their numbers have grown untennable in the EastRift city of Eartheart. It is up to the young clerics to expand the reach of the dwarves beyond the rift and the temple elders have heard some enticing reasons from the Rockseeker brothers for sending one to the frontier town of Phandalin.
Backstory
Coming from a long line of clerics, becoming a Sonnlinor seemed a natural path for Kharnyl. He entered the Temple at the tender age of 30 and trained as an Unworked under the training of Rejas Fireoath, Craftsman of Runes, who showed Kharnyl how to perform the blessing of the anvil each morning and make offerings of molten metals to the Soul Forger each month. With the expansion of gold dwarf population in the Rift since the Thundering, there has been a push to create new settlements North of the Shaar, and Kharnyl has been sent to prosteletize Dwarven culture and stoke the embers of a new forge of Moradin in a place of strategic value, ideally with access to useful ore.
Backstory: Gun'yo was a born warrior. He enlisted in his homeland's military at the young age of 17, rising rapidly through the ranks. At age 20, he was know as Kibo No Hoshi, or Rising Star. However, this was not to last. In his rapid ascent to power, he had made a bitter enemy, a (slightly) older soldier named Ten'fu As'riyo. Ten'fu accused Gun'yo of treason, which led to him being dishonorably discharged from the military, and banished from his homeland. Disgraced, he wandered aimlessly for years, finding work as a Bushi, or mercenary. Eventually, he wound up in Waterdeep, where he caught the eye of a dwarven entrepreneur by the name of Gundren. Specifically, the two engaged in a heated drinking match after a chance meeting at a tavern. Gundren won (by a hair), and the two have been close friends ever since.

By happen stance Eronil and Gundren happened to be in the same area in water deep and be it by fate or destiny or maybe Gundren felt pity on the young half elf who was a nervous wreck after seeing some crime the gangs did. Eronil was offered a job by Gundren. More then that, opportunity to start on a better foot.

Name: Aldreric Fortunus Race | Class: Human | Rogue Background: Charlatan Alignment: Chaotic Neutral Backstory with Gundren: As an entrepreneur himself, Alderic Fortunus, was no stranger to the whispers of found fortunes and opportunities of profit. Alderic approached Gundren and his brother's with the reputation as a merchant, with the claims of investing in Gundren's findings and providing transport and established networks to move supplies. While they may have shared drink and tale, Alderic and Gundren's relations were founded on a professional basis.
Name: Flutter Race: Kenku | Druid (Circle of Dreams later on) Background: Criminal Alignment: True Neutral
Flutter sits idly in front of a small body of water in a forest glade just off a road, deep in thought during his morning ritual. There is faint shouting in the distance, but it isn’t until the rumbling of a speeding cart crashing along the path that his concentration is broken. Curious, Flutter finishes his meditation and makes his way through the tall grass.
A cloud of dust from the crash illuminated by the sunlight peeking through the canopies blocks his vision. After it settles, a dramatic scene of bandits slowly approaching with weapons drawn to a merchant and his companions as they lay bloodied across the gravel. Blades rasp as weapons are drawn, gleams of light strike his eyes as the sun glares off crossing swords, a crossbow bolt launches and wisps by, and just as quickly as it started the fight is over. Flutter claps excitedly to himself and carefully makes his way to the victors as they begin collecting their things and eyeing the damage to their cart.
”Another one!” Someone shouts, “Lay down your arms, bandit, unless you want to end up like your friends!”
Flutter raises his already unarmed hands and waves them about to signal he means no harm. Slowly, he bends down and picks up a twig and snaps it in half.
“...Wh- What is this one on about?” One mercenary mumbles confusedly to his comrade, scratching his head. The other simply shrugs in response.
Flutter waves his hand slowly over the twig as it magically repairs to normal. He then points back and forth from the twig in his hand to the cart that lays in disrepair just ahead. The mercenaries stand clueless. Flutter lets out the sound of a man sighing and walks toward the cart, handing the twig to one of the men as he passes by. Kneeling down in front of the cart, he gets to work mending away, repairing the cart and applying bandages to the wounded.
“That’s some fine work, lad!” Gundren says as he wipes a bit of blood from his chin. “I appreciate the help. You know, we could use your abilities on the rest of our journey, if you’ll have us.”
“I must be on my way, thank you” Flutter mimics from a past encounter, he shakes his head as he declines the offer. He only wanted to help them back on their feet.
“Well, if you ever need some work, ask for Gundren. We could always use someone of good heart on our travels.” Gundren replies.
The crew finishes rummaging around the bodies of the dead bandits and getting prepared on the wagon. Gundren shades his eyes from the sun beating down overhead as he gives one last farewell wave to Flutter, and with a crack of whip, they’re off.
Name: Falkwyn Race | Class: Half-Elf | Bard Background: Sage Alignment: Neutral Good Backstory with Gundren:
Falkwyn grew up in the mining town of Leilon, a less than picturesque spot notable more for it's rather reasonable location - roughly half-way between the legendary cities of Waterdeep and Neverwinter - than for anything important that ever happened there. And to the talented half-elf's dismay, the citizens of Leilon actually liked it that way. Oh, sure, there were travelers aplenty, and interesting merchants and adventurers passing through, but that was also the problem. They were always passing through. Never staying around enough for the inquisitive young minstrel to get more than an inkling of their stories or their lives, or most importantly, of their adventures! And how exactly was Falkwyn ever going to become world reknowned without a true tale of heroism and honor...or at least one of violence and trauma to write and sing about? Sure, he could study old manuscripts and learn the legends of old through poetry and song...but to become a master himself, the half-elf knew that eventually he would have to get out and see the world at large.
It was on a quiet night at the inn, The DentedTankard, that the young bard made the acquaintance of a slightly inebriated Gunden and another dour dwarf called Brozxly who were discussing a wagon-load of throwing hammers that the latter had purchased quite cheaply from a one-eyed gnome, and was trying to figure out what exactly to do with them. Seated nearby, tuning his lute for an evening in which he hoped to at least earn enough to pay his keep, Falkwyn overheard the not-so-quiet conversation and proceeded to strum a playful ditty about the situation. Sauntering about the common room as he sang, the bard amused the admittedly small crowd of six with the possible origins and humorous uses of a wagon-load of hammers, completing the tune with the phrase: "...and boy, were those priests of Moradin surprised when they found that old wagon at their door!" Gunden was highly amused with the song, and offered Falkwyn an ale and a coin for his efforts. This was the start of a reasonably loose friendship between the two, and Falkwyn would never miss an opportunity to visit with his dwarven friend whenever Gunden would pass through. Knowing just how the boy yearned to get out of the small town, eventually after numerous encounters at the inn, the dwarf offered that Falkwyn should stop in and say hello should he ever find himself in Neverwinter. ..and a week ago, that's exactly what Falkwyn did.
Backstory with Gundren: Fighting on the front lines in war Rou made a name for himself as he stood out even for a tiefling. Obsidian black skin, silver hair, with red tattoos and golden eyes.During his last skirmish he was fatally wounded and in a rage he was able to survive long enough to meet Gundren. Untrusting he threated to rip the dwarf in half but this didn't make the dwarf waver. He helped nurse Rou back to health and Rou was greatful. Promising Gundren if Rou need his sword he would come to the dwarfs aid.
alignment: lawful neutral (money and hard work is what drives him, not his devotion to society)
backstory with grunden: despite his formidable skill with his war pick, satanislav the glib has, as his nickname suggests, an talent for rallying people to a common cause that is far more valuable to the dwarf, and with the promise that he was allowed to use his pickaxe for something other than violence, he was convinced by grunden rockseeker to help with his fundraising efforts and to assist in this new project the dwarf has been talking about, and so far satanislav has persuaded three other honest workers to come help him
Name: Mordyn Amastacia Race: Dark Elf Class: Sorcerer (Shadow Magic) Background: Faceless Alignment: Chaotic Good Backstory with Gundren:
Mordyn Amastacia, one of the most talented sorcerers of his clan, was expected to do great things. He was a bit of an outcast anyway, because he wanted to do good in the name of his clan without harming others, contrary to the wish of the elders. However, one day, when a dwarf stumbled into their cave, the good inside him caused him to impulsively go against his people to protect the innocent dwarf. He tried his best not to kill any, but still had to injure most of the attackers. He led the dwarf out of the cavern and never looked back, knowing he could never return after what he had done. He found company in the dwarf, who eventually became the only living thing outside his former clan to know his name. The dwarf’s name was Gundren.

I know it’s a bit late but...
Name: Mordyn Amastacia
Race: Dark Elf
Class: Sorcerer (Shadow Magic)
Background: Faceless
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Backstory with Gundren:
Oh lol. When I wrote the post I was too focused on the story so I forgot it. My bad, sorry. I'm fixing it.
