It's an unusually warm evening in Neverwinter, and many people are still out and about. Despite the warmth, the fires are still blazing at The Flask And The Sword, a small tavern outside the walls of the city. Cold ale and wine flow freely as revelers prepare for a beautiful weekend of sun and festivities. Laughter, shouts, and music fill the air with a giddy sort of expectation.

Kellen Rivian(Level 12 Lore Bard)- Ghosts of Saltmarsh (cbaer8)
Ruven Gilrel (Level 4 Bladesinger)- The Shattered Obelisk
Nebin was perched at a table near the corner, as far from any of the other patrons as possible. Nebin's drab clothing, all the muted greens and browns of a dark forest, was dirty and stained and crusted with salt. The dark haired halfling was digging into his second plate of food like he hadn't eaten in weeks. Nebin startled when Elias sat down at the table next to him and unrolled a map, momentarily pulled from the reverie of a good meal, and peered up at the armored stranger. Without a word he set back into his meal, this time making sure to pay a bit more attention to his surroundings.
Elias looks over to the Halfling not wanting to disturb him while eating. He waits till he is finished eating and says: "Excuse me good sir but you look like a man of the woods. May I ask you a question?"
Guenhyvar, tall for an elf but slender as usual, with ash grey skin and white hair, sits at the bar with his pack and shortbow beside him, daggers and rapier hanging off his belt. As he sits, he doesn't speak much, but listens closely to all the tales of the surrounding world, occasionally asking questions about events in the larger cities. Noting the odd pairing in the corner, he doesn't move, but listens carefully.
Sipping on an ale and cleaning the gunk off of his maul Saxis sits near the back looking towards the door muttering to himself quietly. His bulky frame sitting almost comedically in the chair.
The tall slender half-orc enters, a little stooped to lean on a short (compared to him) staff. Looking for a place to sit and seeing all the corners occupied, he heads over to the Firbolg, thinking it might be the monster section. Is this where the best legroom is? Does it matter where you sit here? How do I get one of those? pointing to the ale At the counter or do they come by? Rontevich by the way trying to see if a handshake is right,

As the Halfling finishes his meal Elias decides it's time for a refill of ale. He heads back to the bar on his way he notices the Firbolg and Half Orc and greets them: " hello gentlemen. I hope you take no offense but, you look like woodsmen. I was wondering if you knew anything of the woods southeast of here? If so would you care to join me at my table and look over my map? The ale will be on me"
Moving his leg as the table follows Saxis will grab his beer, raise it to the sky and bellow "Two more..." Before glancing around quickly followed by "Please".
Looking at the orc he will he will gesture to the chair "I'm Saxis"
Being closer to Saxis you'll notice him covered in scars and burns.
Thank you Saxis, well met Rontevich sits down. Answering the shiny half-elf with a laugh I am an outdoorsy sort, a nature-boy even, but I came through the woods to the north. My home is even north of the big road north of them - so, I can't give you any whadya-call-it, intelligence or whatever. Rontevich is me, Saxis a nod towards the big guy and you?

With that he walks back to his table and retrieves his map & helm. He looks over to the Halfling and says: " If you wouldn't care to join me when you are finished with your meal I will be at the table with the Firbolg and Half Orc. Thank you."
Elias will walk back to the Firbolg's table and extends his hand to the Firbolg and Half Orc saying: "Greetings my name is Elias. It is good to meet you. Saxis is it?" Looking at the Half Orc saying: "May I know your name good sir?"
Rontevich he says laughing, pointing up as if to indicate post #11 as in son of Ront. Singing songs and righting wrongs...but don't ask me to sing, I play a little flute but a druid not a bard he fades off into silence as he realizes what a tool he sounds like

"Greetings Rontevich. It is good to meet you. I look forward to the chance of hearing you playing the flute one day. There is great beauty in nature and music. Don't worry I'll not ask you to sing. It seems these days there is not much righting wrongs going on. I am glad there are a few of us left with the same mentality." Elias will say with a grin.
Nebin finishes his second meal, belatedly realizing the half elf had asked him a question before he'd gotten up and walked away. So much for paying better attention. "Well, where's my hospitality."
Nebin approaches the group of... well, the group of very tall people and taps the half elf on a mailed calf. "Pardon me for interrupting. And, well, for ignoring your question earlier. It wasn't my intention to be rude, you see. I just haven't eaten anything except ra--" a disgusted look crosses the halfling's face. "I haven't eaten well recently, you see? I was a bit distracted. But still, no excuse for poor manners." The halfling extends a hand that is much cleaner than his clothing, "Nebin Fallenleaf, at your service. And yes, I am a woodsman, of sorts. But not from around here, you see? But woods are woods... Except when they aren't of course...." Nebin gets a far away, haunted look in his eyes, trailing off into silence while staring at nothing you can see.
Elias will shake the hand offered him"It's good to meet you Nebin. I didn't want to bother you while you were eating. My name is Elias. And this is Rontevich and Saxis" pointing out the Half Orc and Firbolg.
"I was asking them if they new anything about the woods South East of here. I am looking for Helms Hold. It seems as we all are new here." Elias will reply
"Huh? Err, umm, yes, woods." Nebin says, eyes re-focusing. "Woods are woods, as I say. So I don't know these ones you speak of but I know woods, you see?" Nebin nods determinedly. "I can help you find your way through these. Nice to meet you both as well, Rontevich, Saxis. Nebin Fallenleaf, at your service."
Extending a finger to the halfling Saxis will off to shake his hand "My people arm from the woods..." looking over to the elf "but I was exiled for my indiscretions"
Guenhyvar is now focused on this strange group, not quite turning around to stare, but definitely listening to see what tales they might have about the region.
"Yes well, all woods are the same aren't they? Trees, underbrush, deer, all sorts of birds, bears, squirrels, treants, wolves, badgers, mice, satyrs, wood giants, centaurs, and us hin of course." Nebin peers at the odd, tall assemblage before him, especially Saxis, "Well... You say you're from the woods?" Nebin looks at Saxis even closer, "But I ain't never seen one like you, you see? You sure you're from the woods?"
