Below are two optional features that you can choose in place of the feature normally granted by your background.
Optional Feature: Cult of the Dragon Infiltrator
You have infiltrated the ranks of the Cult of the Dragon. Having spied on the organization for quite some time, you are familiar with its inner workings and customs. You have a second identity as an initiate of the cult, enough of a facade to blend in as a simple grunt or servant.
(Taken) Optional Feature: Dragon Scholar
You have studied dragons and their lore for many years. You can automatically identify locations built or used by dragons and can identify dragon eggs and scales by sight. If you fail an Intelligence check to recall lore relating to dragons, you know someone or some book you can consult for the answer unless the DM rules that the lore is unknown.
For the past several days, you have been traveling a road that winds lazily across the rolling grasslands of the Greenfields. Sundown is approaching when you top a rise and see the town of Greenest just a few short miles away. But instead of the pleasant, welcoming town you expected, you see columns of black smoke rising from burning buildings, running figures that are little more than dots at this distance, and a dark, winged shape wheeling low over the keep that rises above the center of the town. Greenest is being attacked by a dragon!
Terror grasps Vanlir's heart as he stands there dumb founded by the sight before. When he was young, he and his family had been driven away from their home by kobolds and ambush drakes. Now once again, at the place he now considers home, a similar sight befalls him. Except, this time it seems to be so much worse. This time he sees a situation beyond his worst fears. A dragon attacking the place he was sworn to protect. A dragon!
Vanlir stands there wide-eyed, mouth a gape. His body is tense and rigid. A part of him urges him to flee. Another part of him urges him to rush into the fray. However, for the time being, his feet are firmly placed on the ground.

“The secret we should never let the gamemasters know is that they don't need any rules.” ― Gary Gygax
The scars on his face tingle as the anger begins to bubble up from the memory. He'd heard there were sightings which drew him south, but the rumors had not reported the beast so close to town. The memories flashed as he touched the right side of his jaw. He shook his head. No time for that now. A determination came over him and he hurried closer towards the town but was slowed as he approached, seeing a man standing in the road. "Sir, I am Galeryn of Mediana. You know me not, but I have been tracking such a beast for weeks. It appears my search was too slow. The town..." he looks down towards Greenest, "They need us." His voice lowered and tapered to a mumble, "They need more than us." He fell silent for a brief moment as visions of the flame filled his mind and a darkness began to creep in. A deep breath cleared the thoughts and strengthened his resolve. "We must go. Now!" he cried as he began down the hill towards the town.
OOC: yo, the Dragon rumor doesn't make sense, I can't tell you why but you can't use it(it doesn't fit with common sense, I mean that as it doesn't noy justfit- oh, forger it. My Charismascoreis too low for this. Just know that you can't say that)
Maybe erase the weeks part. And the tracking part. And the rumors part. And the sightings part.
At this time, a man with wavy brown hair and a scruffy beard dashes up to the other two. Standing at about 5’9”, he wears simple travelers clothes, a crossbow is strapped to his back, and he has two daggers and a pouch on his belt. “Well hello there good fellows. It seems you were drawn by the smoke as well. Flynn Longstride at your service!” He holds out his hand waiting for a response.
Drogar Stonefist is a half-orc warrior wielding a bo staff that was granted to him from the Order of the Gauntlet. He's adept with the bo staff, more so with his fists. He ponders much about his past along the way to Greenest. Hailing from Waterdeep, the Order of the Gauntlet deemed his issues personal within the City of Splendors and has assigned him the task of investigating the rumors from Greenest. Drogar felt a slight relief in getting a chance to leave Waterdeep to pursue other interests and to develop his skills.
Upon spotting the dragon attacking the village, Drogar clutches his bo staff tightly. "So the rumors are true!" Drogar says loudly, brandishing his bo staff and rushing forward with everyone else. "We must quell this at once!" Drogar demands, as he approaches the others along the path.
As you get closer, you see that the Dragon isn't the only creature attacking Greenest. Several humans and kobolds are here and there, rampaging houses and burning them.
Drogar notices the kobolds, and assesses that he'd be able to vanquish them. The dragon may prove to be too much of a challenge for him. Drogar will study the dragon to see if he can determine what type of dragon it is.
OOC: Judging by the picture, it's a blue dragon. Now he's trying to see if he can determine if it's an adult or ancient dragon.
Galeryn notches an arrow as he enters the town and eyed the half-orc skeptically for a moment until he spoke of quelling the seige. "Galeryn," he introduced himself quickly, "If I might fight by your side, I think there be strength in numbers," he continued as he looked for the others that had been upon the road. "Especially if that dragon decides to turn on us," he continued. Galeryn looked for clues as to what type of dragon it was and why it would be here as he continued cautiously into town with eyes open and bow ready to fire at anything that may try to attack them.

Drogar darts his eyes toward Galeryn, not having enough time to notice much. Drogar turns his attention back toward the kobols. "Drogar Stonefist." Drogar introduces himself while in a sprint. Despite his hulking size, they may notice that Drogar is quite fast and agile.
