Hey - it doesn't look like I can select anything other than Hunter in the character gen for a level 3 ranger on here. Do you have to buy the digital version of the PHB to unlock it or something? Its been a thing for a while, but I thought it wasn't getting built out until the launch today or something like that.
Also, if it is something you have to buy, does anyone know if the new Revised Ranger might be an option at some point in the dndbeyond character gen?
Thanks!

Man I wish I knew. it is very cheeky (read: cynical) for WotC not to put the UA classes and spells up. But in particular, the Revised Ranger omission is particularly egregious, knowing that so many of us were disappointed with the original PHB version, and the UA RR is eligible for Adventurer's League etc. IMO this is part of some business decision to protect the value of XGE. I get it, but it is still unfair and annoying and it makes me think a bit less of the product.

It's been confirmed that the revised Ranger is NOT in XGE, so I don't understand how you draw that conclusion?
The D&D Beyond team have said that they will find a way of making Unearthed Arcana playtest material available on D&D Beyond, but in the future - immediate work remains on the character builder and character sheet.

Where was this confirmed? I only saw a vague tweet about it "being released when it is released" but not specifically saying that it wasn't in Xanthar's.

Yeah, seen that post, it was just vague enough that some people have theorized it may have been a dodge. I hope it was, but it probably wasn't. And that makes me a sad panda

D&D Beyond can be used for free and contains information from the following "free to use" sources published by Wizards of the Coast:  D&D 5th edition SRD , D&D 5th edition Basic Rules and Elemental Evil Companion.
Content from other sources, such as the Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide or Monster Manual will need to be purchased from the Marketplace or accessed via a Master Tier Subscription.
The UA Ranger is not a possible option right now. Probably in the future.
Thanks. Excited to hear that UA material may be available in the future.

Is there any ETA on UA Ranger material?
