Just to clarify because I had a discussion with another player who belives it would not because the source of the die is not the main attacker(barbarian)

Yep. Don't overthink it. *Any Dice* rolled as part of an attack get doubled, whether they are from poison, or magical bonuses, or other player's abilities, or whatever. If it is dice being rolled for damage as part of an attack which is a critical hit, it is doubled, period, full stop. Hope that helps!

Keep in mind that damage delivered through a saving throw doesn't count, so no doubling Poison, Basic (vial) damage.

If the fighter uses commander's strike on the Barbarian and the Barb crits is the superioty die is doubled as well?
I would say yes because the superiority die is added the attack’s damage roll.
