Hey guys, I need to confirm this idea i had and i want to know what the extent of how far i can push it as well.
components to keep in mind are as follows
your standard 1 action per turn (i think?)
Quickened spell (1 action spell cast as 1 bonus action)
Action surge (use of an additional action and possible bonus action to follow(?))
Haste (grants an extra action)
the idea is that i would like to build a fighter-like caster ( 2 levels fighter and the rest sorcerer in this case). so i have been toying with the idea of using action surge to do the following.
cast first spell and then quickened a second spell, cast a spell as part of action surge and use another quickened spell with movement involved (idk, i just played 3.5v up until a week ago). Additionally i was considering a 3rd casting as part of the effects of haste (and a 3rd quickened spell maybe?). Hast would be ideally be intended to have been cast initially. This would give the build the ability to cast a total of 5 or 6 spells in a turn. this number of spells would play in favor of those who wish to build buffer/debuffer characters as well as the obvious one shot kill character. however, i am leaning towards the buffer type personally, simply because i like toying with my opponent
You only get 1 bonus action per round, so you can only cast 1 bonus action spell on your turn. Also, if you do cast a bonus action spell, all of your other spells that turn have to be cantrips with a casting time of 1 bonus action. Finally, the extra action provided by Haste can't be used on the Cast A Spell action.
You either get 1 noncantrip as a bonus action and 2 cantrips, or 2 noncantrips.
