looking back at the unearthed arcana iv'e been looking at the dragonmarked - im considering buying the book i part for these as i might try them out if i can get opportunity. but looking at the unearthed arcana at least i couldn't find anywhere saying how many of them you get. did i miss that mentioned in the unearthed arcana or does it say how many in the book you would get? if i found a dm that would agree depending on how many time you can use it or whatever then this would be usefull to know. the impression i get is there isn't an actual limit to these abilities ( based on unearthed arcana ) but would be helpfull to know if this point is clarified before i purchase
I'm not sure I understand your question precicely, but this is how dragonmarks work in 5e:
Basically `Dragonmarked` is a subrace of another race. This means that you get certain racial traits connected to the dragonmark. For example the Human has different racial traits than the "Mark of Handling Human". In these racial traits, it is mentioned which abilities are useful how often. Most marks have some abilities that are "always on", and some that can be used once or twice. Personally I feel they're quite balanced to other racial traits. They're a little bit more focused, and for that they're a bit more powerful. So they're really only as powerful as the DM lets it be. The Mark of Handling Human has abilities that help with beasts and some monstrosities, so it depends how often you meet those.
