The conditions that make WIldshape end are stated in the feature:
You can revert to your normal form earlier by using a bonus action on your turn. You automatically revert if you fall unconscious, drop to 0 hit points, or die.
Short rest does not end the Wildshape. If you have still enough time, the druid will be still in beast form after the short rest.
I think so, I don't see why not. Charges, like spell slots, are something that you consumes when you activate the feature or spell, not something that you are still using when that feature or spell is in place.
Mike Mearls, one of the designers for D&D 5th Edition seems to think you do (link). Based on the wording of the text I'd say it does too.

you can stay in wild shape for 1/2 druid lv in hours.
so from 4th level you can wild shape after that when you take a short rest while in beast form. dos the wild shape charge come back.

yes but will i get the wild shape charge back or must i be in humanoid form and then take a short rest to get he wild shape charge back
