so I'm wondering about the Find Steed spell (and similar spells) with regards to equipping them.
When the steed drops to 0 hit points, it disappears, leaving behind no physical form. You can also dismiss your steed at any time as an action, causing it to disappear. In either case, casting this spell again summons the same steed, restored to its hit point maximum.
While your steed is within 1 mile of you, you can communicate with it telepathically.
Does this mean that you could equip your mount with stuff (saddle, saddlebags, barding) and when it dies/you dismiss it the items disappear with it? And if you summon it again, is it fully equipped?
I'm guessing this would be the case, but it's not explicitly mentioned. What are your thoughts?
I think this one comes down to the DMs preference. I'd rule that 'the steed' disappears - not anything that's equipped by it. That'd just fall to the ground. It's a little open to abuse in my mind otherwise.

Yeah I thought that might be the case. For now I ruled that barding and saddle go with the mount, but the saddlebags and their contents do not. That way there´s no real way for players to abuse it, but they don´t have to bother running around with a plate barding and saddles themselves :P

For what it's worth, this question was asked of Jeremy Crawford, who essentially says the same.

I think that's a fine solution; allows you players summon their steed 'ready to ride', without treating them as celestial pack mules.
