I've made a level 3 Aasimar Paladin of Conquest with a WIS of 8 (I want him to be a bit clueless). But for some reason, my Perception is shown as +0 instead of -1. I haven't picked any feats or skills that could mess with my perception, my chosen background doesn't give me any Perception bonus, and I'm not proficient in it... Can anyone here figure out why Beyond believes that this kind of character would have +2 bonus on Perception checks? Is there something obvious I'm missing or could this be a bug?
I'm pretty new to D&D, but my DM has played for a good while, and we are both going crazy over this...
I wanted to avoid sharing a link since I'm trying to keep the character a bit incognito at the moment (because of story reasons related to an upcoming campaign), but perhaps I'm paranoid for fearing that my fellow players would stumble upon this thread...
Not sure if it's gonna help, though. I was mostly just checking here first to see if there's an obvious rule, or class feature, or a racial bonus that I had missed from Aasimars and Paladins of conquest.
If not, then I suppose I better take this to the Bugs & Support.
The blue number should mean there was a manual custom adjustment made. You can click on the skill, open the customize tab and check it.
Oh. My. Gods... I am the king's fool. I think it must have happened when I was checking if it was possible to give my character disadvantage on Perception checks..
Thank you so much!! (I appologize for my terrific n00b skills)
Edit: Fixed it now. Just had to delete the "0", which I for some reason thought was there as some kind of default. I am as insightful as my paladin...
Okay, this is a silly question...

Screen Shot of my character sheet:
A link to your character is the only way anyone might be able to tell what it is that's causing it.

It’s blue instead of black, that means it was manually adjusted directly on the character sheet. (Possibly accidental) Tap/click it and you will see.

Interesting that the blue number doesn't show with the Dice Roller on. Had it been off we would have been able to tell from the screenshot.
