Hi. I'm looking to build a tiefling sorcerer but I'm having some trouble getting the stats right. We're all using the same array that unfortunately was rolled really badly. I'm having trouble getting the stats to work out in my favour. What's the best build you can make from
9, 10, 10, 10, 11, 12
I can also have a feat and an extra +1 on anything.
Put the 11 into Con the 12 into Cha, get the Infernal Constitution feat. This will start you with a +1 Con mod for some health and spell concentration and +2 for charisma.
I'd choose Dragon sorc, personally, because the +1 health per level and 13 + Dex AC is going to really help. Fire damage will be appropriate to get bonus on hellish rebuke plus the whole "fires of hell thing" goes with your devil heritage. Next ASI should be Dex , next after that would be Cha then Dex again - you'll basically only be using doing ASIs, not feats, with those stats and Cha - Dex - Con will need attention. Int and Wis aren't too much of a concern, you're better off a blaster than a skill monkey.
For spells I'd focus on blasting/damage to make use of Elemental Affinity as much as possible - but you cannot afford Elemental Adept feat (you NEED the ASIs) so do have backup cantrips and higher spells of different damage types at some points.
BUT first I'd ask you DM to let you and everyone else just use Standard Array or Point Buy because those stats suck and are really limiting your options.

Are you limited as to which tiefling subtypes you can use? If allowable, I'd go with a levistus tiefling to get an extra +1 con. As Cyb3r recommended, dragon sorc with 12 into cha and the 11 into con. 9 to str. You're going to want to go heavy into fire damage, the racial ray of frost cantrip will be nice for those time when you need to do non-fire damage. Armor of Agathys as a racial would be a cheap way to get some extra temp hp in a jam as well.
Is multi-classing allowed? If so, I would be strongly tempted to pick up at least one level of hexblade warlock; if no other reason you'd get medium armor and shields out of it. 2 levels of warlock will open you up for darkness/devil's sight shennanigans, which with those stats I would not hesitate to reach for.
Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.
