I am leveling an aberrant mind sorcerer and am thinking of multi-classing into warlock but am having trouble deciding on a subclass. The overarching theme for the character is to serve as a herald for some elder evil, such as Hadar, Acamar, or Tharizdun. The great old one warlock subclass would clearly fit. However, given that I plan to take only 1-2 levels in warlock, the overlap of subclass abilities between warlock and sorcerer would be nearly absolute. Another idea would be for the character to be transformed into an undead (reborn or hollow one), much like the antagonist Jeremy in an old Real Ghostbusters cartoon who served the "Dark Entity" (see https://ghostbusters.fandom.com/wiki/Jeremy). With this, the undead subclass might fit, though I am unaware of any undead elder evil (or elder evil associated with the undead). The third option would be to go hexblade, though again I am unaware of any elder evil associated with the shadowfell.
Can anyone provide thoughts or suggestions for an appropriate patron and warlock subclass?
Hadar might work with the undead subclass. It's basically a dying star that moves through space trying to keep itself alive by consuming things, so what could be happening is it is draining your characters soul as part of this and it has the side effect of granting your character certain undead style abilities.
Other, not particular canon, options might be:
Moander: a dead god taken from previous editions of D&D, it's domains were over rot, decay and corruption so could lend to a undead aesthetic rather nicely.
Hastur the King in Yellow who is just very weird and powerful so might have generated some necromantic cults in its time & Morrdiggian who is known as the Great Ghoul, both of these are from the HP Lovecraft Mythos.
Sithis: you'd need to take some inspiration from the Elder Scrolls and having it linked to the Negative Plane which is home to creatures such as Nightwalkers.
As your “Aberrant Mind” Sorcerer will fulfill much of the concept that you’re going for, you do have the freedom to re-flavor a lot of the Warlock patrons to your liking…
Celestial Patron - literally the eerie light of a distant star.
Hexblade Patron - the darkness between the stars; the void of space. (Bolothamogg)
Undead Warlock - Atropos, The World Born Dead (a VERY fitting patron for an eldritch entity)
Genie Patron - a dao who dwells upon a distant asteroid; a djinn who has become trapped in the airless void of Wildspace, an efreeti whose domain is within a burning star…etc.

Thanks for all the insights. After discussing a bit with my DM, I am leaning toward Hadar or Pandorym (a weaponized entity summoned from beyond all known realms who seeks to destroy the gods and then the material plane: https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Pandorym).
