The shadow weave was destroyed. At best it was a sad imitation of the weave; it was never a full replacement. As a reflection of the weave, it still had to abide by the same restrictions of the weave. Now, it's completely gone and Shar got her butt kicked so soundly that she's not in any kind of position to try that nonsense again.

Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.
There's currently no ban on epic magic in the Forgotten Realms, IIRC. The Mystra who put up that ban is dead.
Mystra is alive and well as of the ending of Ed Greenwood's "Herald", has a presence in novel "Spellstorm" and in "Death Masks".
Unless you mean that this particular version of Mystra who banned magic is dead - ie. killed by Helm during the Avatar Crisis. Then yeah, sure. The new one (previously known as Midnight) upheld the ban for 10th+ level spells but 3rd edition specifically said that Epic Magic (as opposed to high level spell slot magic) was not banned and in the book Lost Empires of Faerun they even specifically said that some wizards tried to reconstruct the 10th and 11th level spells via Epic Magic.
This in itself was a weird direction they went since Epic Magic in Faerun was always more or less associated with Elven High Magic, not Netherese High Level spells. It was also a weird decision to say "I ban this spell cause it's too OP but you can still cast it as an Epic version". Ridiculous.
Anyway, then came Spellplague, then Mystra returned and now we have 5ed and zero information about epic spells. We know for a fact that wizards are weaker now as stated by Elminster and Lareal Silverhand in "Death Masks" - I asked Ed about those remarks in the book and he confirmed that it was his way of describing the state of the world of 5ed.
As a side note, Greenwood confirmed that it was never "Mystra's" ban in the first place - it was AO but since AO doesn't want any sort of recognition in the realms, Mystra assumed the role of the entity that prohibited it.
Mistra banned this ultra powerful spells after Karsus fall. However, I really wanna know. This limitations applies to shadow weave?

Why not the cooler epic spells? There's Maven's Volcano, Proctiv's Move Mountain, Mythalar (misspelled), etc.
In the official lore,
Wizard of the CoastMystra realized that this was too op, destroying them forever. But there is this thing called homebrew.Proud poster on the Create a World thread
