So I am playing the Tyranny of Dragons mod and for the first time I am playing a Dragonborn Cleric. It is making for an interesting spin, having a Dragonborn going against the Cult of the Dragons. I am playing up the fact that Dragonborns are aligned with Bahamut and not Tiamat.
But I am not comfortable with the Dragonborn race and I am being a lot more reserved and trying to hide my Dragon lineage. it’s definitely a challenge. Anyone have any advice on playing the Dragonborn.
Playing a Dragonborn isn't really that hard: All you have to remember to do is think about your Breath Weapon, and use it when appropriate. You also might have to remind your DM about the damage resistance you gain from Draconic Ancestry.
I'm slightly confused about what you mean by "trying to hide my Dragon lineage." Are you trying to hide what type of dragon you're descended from, or the fact that you're a dragon altogether? If the latter, then I would recommend wearing a hood, and perhaps a mask. For both of these conundrums, a Disguise Kit might always be useful.
I wish you the best of luck. May you roll well, and most importantly, may you have fun!

Another option for hiding your identity would be “faceless cloak” and some gloves of some sort or just gauntlets with your armor. Of course that begs the real question - Why are you trying to hide your species? ( there is nothing, per se, in the module that makes being a Dragonborn anathema or suspect less your DM has added something.

Just to be clear: You (the player) aren't comfortable with the Dragonborn race or your character is uncomfortable with the fact that they're a Dragonborn?
If the former, were you pressured into playing a Dragonborn by the party or something? Dragonborn are neat races (though if you have the non Fizban they don't age well past low levels) but you shouldn't be forced to play a character you're uncomfortable with. I'd try to play as something you personally would enjoy more.
If the latter, I assume your chromatic? If yes, then a disguise kit could alter your color, a cloak/mask can hide your race, as can certain armors.
There's no inherent prejudices against Dragonborn of any colors, but if your character is sensitive to chromatic colors I personally think it'd be hilarious to lie with audacity. "I'm not white, I'm silver. Can't you tell the difference?" "This isn't red, it's an off bronze." "I'm actually a copper dragon, it just changed to a green color due to oxidation."

When ye say not comfortable - I assume the character (since ye mention trying to hide the Dragon Lineage).
That said - if you're a Metallic Dragonborn - then there'd be no reason to hide the lineage. Metallic Dragons are the good aligned dragons.
If your Chromatic Dragon Born (red, blue, black, green, white) - then you'd only really need to hide it against the Cult.
However, you could, who knows (no spoilers) - use that to an advantage at some point too, as the enemy might expect you to be on their side.
