Hi:) thank you for anyone reading my post. So I am making a campaign in which the feywilds plan is leaking and slowly merging into the material plane. a player asked me what that means for the Shadowfell?? Any ideas? Would the shift cause some parts of the material plan to bleed into the Shadowfell? Or should I just ignore the shadowfell for this campaign?
also if the Feywilds is the way it is because of WildMagic then what is the alternative for the Shadowfell??
anyone anyone’s input is helpful and thank you for taking the time to read:)
I feel like an archfey could’ve found some “prime real estate” in the material plane, so they made a portal, marched in, and claimed it for themselves. Maybe someone tried to stop them, it’s up to you. Anyways, maybe the Feywild is slowly leaking in and you have to convince or stop the archfey from continuing.

A wizard opens a rift in the wall in front of you, walks through, and eyes you, eyes glowing a brilliant blue. “Where are the beans?” He says menacingly, gritting his teeth in frustration. Suddenly squirrels pour out of the rift and swarm over you.
Hi. I really like squirrels, reading, and D&D (obviously). Uh, yeah. I also GM 👍.

Maybe there's a Fey power that's "grinding up" the Shadowfell and using it to fuel the "invasion" of the Prime!
Maybe the opposite is happening in the Underdark: The Shadowdark is merging into the material plane there (perhaps 'grinding up' the Feydark there)
All generalizations are false.
Was going to suggest this.
I feel like something should have "Punched a hole in the rift" and now its bleeding into The Shadowdark.
