Could a Kenku just gather scraps of peoples voices to talk. So if they wanted to say "Hi I am Bob" they just get a guy to say hi then they hear someone say I am and then someone says bob so they can use scraps of voices to communicate? Thanks for your feedback.

Yes.
this is how their entire language is basically done.
if you have a Kenku village, that never gets outside travelers. You have entire generations saying only the same phrases and such over and over.

Well, they all say the same words. They could still imitate other sounds that they hear, and they can take the words they know and string them together in different combinations.

Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.

but in all seriousness, this is how I do things. I literally take notes of individual words or phrases and who spoke them, so I can say sentences, and if people ask how I'm saying it, I can just point them to my notes. bonus points, I do this with monster sounds too, like the deathknell of a troll.

Trying to get your physical content on Beyond is like going to Microsoft and saying "I have a physical Playstation disk, give me a digital Xbox version!"
I just looked in the monster manual and it says they can repeat phrases or individual words but not make new phrases. But the DM doesn't need to know that right? JK I am the DM and I will allow it.

Kenkus, who have short life spans, really depend on travelers, or Kenku adventurers that travel, to bring new culture to the Kenku culture.
