OK, So the idea is Barrier tattoo uncommon requires max dex rare just needds +2, then have a level in a class with unamoured defence. Would the second modifier like con or wisdom stack on the tattoo. Since dex and base ac have been acounted for do you think it is reasonable to add that second modifer.
Also don't just say paladin go brrrrr so this is useless
So, it wouldnt work because it sets your AC to be something. Basically, the barrier tattoo acts like armor, it overrides all other AC calculations and would set your ac to be 15 + dex (+2). The difference is this would, in theory, allow you to maintain your bonuses from being unarmored in other ways if you'd have abilities that rely on being unarmored.
You could use Bracers of Armor with your class' AC calculation, but not something that gives you an alternate calculation.
For instance, if you're a Monk, and you have a +3 in both dexterity and wisdom, and you have the Bracers of Armor, you have 18AC, and if you can get both of those ability scores to +5, you can have AC22 with both hands free for attacks.
