Simple question, answer is likely "just ask your DM," but would you rule that the unarmed attacks with the Brawler fighting style would count as "weapon attacks" for the purposes of the subclass abilities that apply to weapon attacks?
What would be some benefits/drawbacks for that fighting style with that subclass?
Anything that says “Melee-Weapon Attack” or “Ranged-Weapon attack” with a hyphen requires a weapon. Anything that does not have that hyphen just means non-spell attacks. So a “melee weapon attack” can absolutely use your Unarmed attacks, while a “melee-weapon attack” or simply “melee weapon” without the word attack after it could not. Is that clear?

Unarmed strikes are melee weapon attacks, so no problem.
They just don't count as "weapons" for things like "attack with a weapon" or "your weapons [effect]."
