I'm running a hexblade warlock. Do invocations count as casting a spell? For example could I use banishing smite for my bonus, attack, using booming blade along with eldritch smite???

Some invocations will give you spell-like abilities, others will explicitly give the ability to cast a certain spell. If it doesn't say you're casting a spell, you aren't :)

If the rules say you're casting a spell, you're casting a spell. Otherwise you're not casting a spell.
There's no rule preventing you from casting Banishing Smite and Booming Blade, then using Eldritch Smite if you hit.
Cool, thank you
