This quill is made of a simple brown feather coated in coal-dust, and seems to twirl when placed near paper or parchment. This quill is capable of translating any text written in Dwarvish, Giant, Gnomish, Goblin, Orc, Primordial, or Terran into Common. 

As an object interaction you may place the quill on top of a piece of paper or parchment (like the page of a book, or a letter) on which is written words in a language it understands. The quill will begin to trace the letters, taking ten minutes to reach the end of the page. The next time the quill is placed onto an empty sheet of paper or parchment it will write out the same words, but in Common.

The quill has six uses. With each use, the quill becomes shorter.
