Often confused as a Katana, the ninjato is shorter with a straight edge. It is a light weapon often depicted as being wielded by a ninja.

It is functionally similar to a scimitar, with the same weapon properties applied.

Proficiency with a scimitar allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
