Weapon (shortsword), rare (requires attunement)

A long, wide, smooth blade made of a white colored steel. A bright, luminous vapor continuously flows from the blade. The blade has no cross-guard, instead, a halo wraps around the blade where the guard would have been. A small pommel is engraved with the symbol of some unknown religious sect. Its name, Nimbus, is inscribed into the blade in Celestial text. The text strobes with a faint golden light.

You can use a bonus action to speak this magic sword's name "Nimbus", causing radiant beams of light to cast forth from the blade. The blade sheds bright light in a 40-foot radius and dim light for an additional 40 feet. While the sword is activated, it deals an extra 2d6 radiant damage to any target it hits. The light last until you use a bonus action to speak the swords name again or until you drop or sheathe the sword.

Proficiency with a shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
