Description
Ushabtiu are the servants of the dead, constructed to carry out manual work in the afterlife, and defend the eternal rest of the deceased in the current one. True to their name, they are the "answerers" to their master's call and will follow his every command to the letter, to the best of their ability.
In creation, a ushabti is cast from a solid material such as stone, terracotta, metal, glass, or faience. After, it is inscribed with the spells specific to its designated task which allow it to become animate and perform its work.
Ushabtiu are almost exclusively encountered in the tombs of their masters, with more powerful masters commanding a greater number throughout the chambers of his sepulcher.
