Auvix (Winged Fox)

An auvix is a playful and curious winged fox about 3 feet in length with an 8 foot wingspan. They have a surprising kinship with most birds and love to tease and play with larger birds of prey.

Auvix are a result of dragonborn arcanists long ago experimenting on foxes in an attempt to recreate the experiments used to make tressyms. These creatures are very friendly and social with humanoids, specifically dragonborn. Auvix mostly ignore others of their kind except when choosing a mate, they mate for life and are fierce protectors of their kits. They can mate with normal foxes, in that instance one out of every four kits will be an auvix. While mostly peaceful and playful creatures, they despise undead and will always go out of their way to avoid anything undead.

An auvix's diet is a mix of small animals, fruit, berries, and mushrooms but they will do anything for citrus flavored pastries, specifically lemon tarts. They will even go as far as to work together to steal them.

Auvix's are innately friendly and playful with humanoids but are notorious for holding grudges against those that have wronged them. For instance, if a person were to offer them a treat and take it away from them at the last minute and eat it themselves, the auvix might go back to that person later and steal things such as bags, tools, or coin purses from them for years to come.
