Standing Leap. The bulette's long jump is up to 30 feet and its high jump is up to 15 feet, with or without a running start.
Poisonous blood. Any creature that deals damage to the Alpha Root, within 5 ft of it takes 5 (1d10) poison damage.
Multi-attack. the Alpha Root Bulette makes one Bite attack and one Root claw attack, or use's it's Deadly leap, and a bite or claws attack.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 30 (4d12 + 4) piercing damage. plus an extra (2d8 poison damage) and a constitution saving throw DC 14 if a fail the creature is poisoned for the next hour, If a success the creature isn't poisoned for the next 24 hrs.
Root Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d10 +4) slashing damage.
Deadly Leap. If the Alpha Root jumps at least 15 feet as part of its movement, it can then use this action to land on its feet in a space that contains one or more other creatures. Each of those creatures must succeed on a DC 16 Strength or Dexterity saving throw (target's choice) or be knocked prone and take 14 (3d6 + 4) bludgeoning damage plus 14 (3d6 + 4) slashing damage. On a successful save, the creature takes only half the damage, isn't knocked prone, and is pushed 5 feet out of the bulette's space into an unoccupied space of the creature's choice. If no unoccupied space is within range, the creature instead falls prone in the bulette's space.
Rooting Stance. as a reaction, the Alpha Root can implant itself in the ground giving itself an extra +2 to it's AC and it can't move from that spot until the start of it's next turn.
Description
The Alpha Root bulette is a creature that has been in contact with some of the fey wilds, and with that becoming more incorporated into its survival habits and instincts by eating the poisonous roots of different fey plants and organisms that dare to attack it. These bulettes usually can lead a small pack of bulettes who are near for their mating nests and protect them against possible poachers, and other monsters that think a bulettes eggs are easy pickings.
