Fatal Error. When the Ancient Guardian dies it explodes. All creatures within 10ft must make a DC 10 Dexterity saving throw taking 3d6 fire damage and 1d8 peircing damage on a failed save or half as much on a successful one.
Magic Weapons. The Ancient Guardian's weapon attacks are magical.
Multiattack. The Ancient Guardian makes 2 claw attacks
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d8 + 4) [damage type] damage.
Laser Beam (Recharge 5-6). The Ancient Guardian shoots a laser out of its eye at one creature it can see within 60 ft. That creature must make a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw or take 3d8 fire damage and 3d8 force damage or half as much on a successful one. A creature with a shield can choose to fail the saving throw and attempt to deflect the laser back at the Ancient Guardian. A creature that chooses to do this must make a DC 17 Dexterity check. On a sucessful check the Laser Beam is deflected back dealing 3d8 fire and 3d8 force damage to the guardian, ignoring resistance. On a failed check the creature takes the damage as normal.
Description
The Ancient Guardian was once believed to be the savior of the lands it was summoned to, however they were last summoned an unknown currupting force infected the Guardians causing them to attack the very citizens they were sworn to protect.
They have one large blue eye that focuses on a target and lets out a soft beeping when it is about to fire its laser. It can be seen climbing over ruins and buildings alike on its 6 long spiderlike legs.

Posted Aug 9, 2020Pretty neat. Just a recommendation: I'd drop the text about shields. Most shielded folks aren't going to be able to do this trick. More likely Link has a magical shield that specifically allows him to reflect ranged spell attacks or the like.
