Traits

Luminous. The guardian sheds dim light in a ten-foot radius.

Incorporeal Movement. The guardian can move through other creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain. It may end its turn inside an object.

Actions

Blazing Flash (3/Day). The guardian pulses bright light out from it's body, blinding nearby enemies. All creatures that can see the guardian and are within 30 feet of it must make a constitution saving throw. On a failure, the creature is blinded until the guardian's next turn. On a success, nothing occurs.

Soul Blast. The guardian targets a creature that it can see within 30 feet of it with a wave of spiritual energy. The target must succeed on a DC 14 dexterity saving throw, or take 9 (2d8) radiant damage.

Description

A guardian is a physical manifestation of the world's soul. Appearing as small, levitating orbs, these beings work to preserve life, and inhabit all corners of the multiverse.

A guardian lives practically anywhere with some semblance of natural life, as their existence is inherently tied to it. The amount of guardians in a certain area is a direct detector of how destroyed and developed a region is. As the world dies, so do the guardians. This also operates vice versa, as the death of a guardian will also diminish a small portion of wildlife in a guardian's immediate surroundings
