Unmanned Aircraft. Athena's Hand is an unmanned aircraft that requires a creature with an intelligence of 10 or higher to pilot it, otherwise it remains inert. Whilst a creature is piloting, Athena's Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores are replaced with that of the creature, and any effects that would affect these stats instead targets the piloting creature. The pilot assumes full control of Athena's movement and actions when piloting, and can use any of their class features or racial abilities, provided the aircraft is also capable of doing so. If the creature stops piloting for any reason (such as being knocked away from the helm) then Athena's stats return to normal and the construct becomes inert again.

Variant Rules. If using the optional Air Combat rules, Athena's Hand instead has a flight speed of 350ft (Hover).

Crew Capacity. The Athena has space enough for a crew of ten people.

Skytrol Powered. The Athena runs on Skytrol fuel, and has one 500 litre tank that can be filled. If this tank runs out for any reason, the aircraft will shut down and become inert. It will also lose it's Hove rule and fall at a rate of 120ft per round.

Light Cannon Hardpoints. The Athena has two cannons on each side that cannot be fired by the Pilot. These cannons can instead be fired by other creatures that are within 5ft of them at the start of their turns by using the Fire Cannon action. Each cannon requires an action to reload before firing again. Each light cannon can be targeted individually against attacks. They are immobile constructs with an AC of 20 and 40 hit points.

Armour Threshold (10). The Athena has an armour threshold that can repel most light arms fire and attacks. If the aircraft suffers damage from an attack. This armour threshold rule does not extend to the light Cannon Hardpoints.

Actions

Fire Cannons. Ranged Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, range 120ft/240ft, one target. Hit 36 (8d8) piercing damage.

Port Broadside (Pilot Only). The Pilot opens fire with the fixed broadside cannons on the port side of the aircraft at once, sending cannon fire blasting out in a line 120 feet long and 60 feet wide from the left hand side of the aircraft. Each creature in the line must make a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw, taking 72 (16d8) piercing damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful save.

Starboard Broadside (Pilot Only). The Pilot opens fire with the fixed broadside cannons on the port side of the aircraft at once, sending cannon fire blasting out in a line 120 feet long and 60 feet wide from the right hand side of the aircraft. Each creature in the line must make a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw, taking 72 (16d8) piercing damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful save.

Description

The Athena's Hand is a well known rogue privateer class airship, hailing from the eastern province of Camor. It boasts considerable firepower and maneuverability and is powered by dual Skytrol engines rigged to it's underside, granting it incredible cruising speeds for its size.

Able to house a crew of ten within the limited cabin space below deck, the Athena's Hand is a dangerous and formidable opponent in the right hands. Often, it is seen assailing trade ships and light aircraft off the eastern coasts. What the crew are searching for, however, remains  mystery.
