Damage Type Chart.

1. Red. The target takes fire damage.

2. Orange. The target takes acid damage.

3. Yellow. The target takes lightning damage.

Evasion. When the prismatic dragon is subjected to an effect that allows it to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, it instead takes no damage if it succeed on the saving throw, and only half damage if it fails.

Innate Spellcasting. The dragon’s spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 23, +13 to hit with spell attacks). The dragon can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components: At will: color spray 3/day: hypnotic pattern 1/day: prismatic wall.

Legendary Resistances: ( 5/day ) When the dragon fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.

Prismatic Immunity. At the start of each of turn, the dragon rolls 1d8 to determine its damage immunity for the round:

1. Red. Immunity to fire damage.

2. Orange. Immunity to acid damage.

3. Yellow. Immunity to lightning damage.

4. Green. Immunity to poison damage.

5. Teal. Immunity to thunder damage.

6. Blue. Immunity to cold damage.

7. Purple. Immunity to psychic damage.

8. White. Immunity to force damage.

Epic Monster: All attacks and abilities ignore resistances and immunities.

Transparent. Even when the dragon is in plain sight, it takes a successful DC 25 Wisdom Perception check to spot this dragon if it has neither moved nor attacked.

Immutable Form. The Dragon is immune to any spell or effect that would alter its form.

Magic Resistance. The Dragon has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Spectrum. When the Ancient Prismatic Dragon is less than half health, it channels every element at once. In this form, all attacks deal an extra 1d6fire, 1d6acid, 1d6lightning, 1d6poison, 1d6cold, 1d6thunder, 1d6psychic, and 1d6force damage 

Prismatic Shield: The Ancient Prismatic Dragon is enclosed in an invisible 20ft  barrier. The first time a creature moves through the barrier the creature must make a Charisma saving throw (DC 20). On a failed save, the creature is deafened. It must then make a Constitution saving throw (DC 20) at the end of each of its turns. If it successfully saves three times, the effect ends. If it fails its save three times, the creature turns to a indestructible glass like material and is subjected to the petrified condition.

Actions

Multiattack. The dragon makes three attacks: one with its bite, and two with its claws.


Elemental Claw. +13 to hit, reach 20 ft., one creature. H i t : 32 (4d10+10) piercing damage plus 14 (4d6) of a random type, roll a d8 to determine which damage type affects it.

Elemental Bite: +19 to hit, reach 20 ft., one creature. H i t: 32 (4d8+10) piercing damage plus 14 (4d6) of a random type, roll a d8 to determine which damage type affects it.

Frightful Presence. Each creature of the dragon’s choice that is within 120 feet of the dragon and aware of it must succeed on a DC 23 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature’s saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the dragon’s Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours.

Prismatic Light (Recharge on a 6). The dragon exhales a prismatic light in a 120-foot cone. Each creature in the area is subjected to a DC 23 suffering 120 (20d8) damage of the immunity the creature currently has.

Reactions

Speed of light: Dodges any attack even if it can't miss.

Legendary Actions

The dragon can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The dragon regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Detect (1 Action). The dragon makes a Wisdom (Perception) check.

Claw Attack (1 Action). The dragon makes an elemental claw attack.

Wing Attack (2 Actions). The dragon beats its wings. Each creature within 15 feet of the dragon must succeed on a DC 23 Strength saving throw or take 24 (4d6+10) bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. The dragon can then fly up to half its flying speed.

Powerful Luminosity (3 Actions). The Dragon sheds bright light illuminating in a 30-foot radius. The light is so strong that any creature standing at 10 feet and looking at the Dragon must succeed on a DC 23 Wisdom saving throw or be blinded until the start of the creature's next turn.
