Description
“Eyes and mouth aflame like a cursed jack o’lantern, the skull-faced thing seized poor Tomas who screamed and gibbered as it held him in its fiery embrace. I wanted to help but other such horrors were shambling through the archway, so I turned and fled.” -Kasha Vel, Pirate Queen
Also known as the Burning Dead, ash wights are corpses animated by a combination of elemental fire and necromantic energy. Travelers tell tales of encounters with the Burning Dead in cursed ruins and magic-blasted wastelands where death and elemental energy abound. Filled with fire but not consumed, their fiery touch burns flesh and sets combustible items alight. Ash wights are driven by a single purpose, to share the gift of burning death.
