False Appearance. While the arborean watcher remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from a plant.
Sneak Attack. The arborean watcher deals an extra 7 (2d6) damage when it hits a target with a weapon attack and has advantage on the attack roll, or when the target is within 5 feet of an ally of the arborean watcher that isn't incapacitated and the arborean watcher doesn't have disadvantage on the attack roll.
Arboreal Veil. The arborean watcher can take the Disengage or Hide action as a bonus action on each of its turns.
Multiattack. The arborean watcher makes two shortsword attacks.
Shortsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 11 (1d6+5) slashing damage.
Vine Plague. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 15 ft. one target. Hit: 8 (1d6 + 5) piercing damage and the 5 ft. of ground below the target twists and sprouts hard spikes and thorns. The area becomes difficult terrain for one minute or until the aborean watcher uses vine plague again. Any creature that starts its turn in the affected area must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw or be restrained.
Description
Arborean Watchers attempt to use vine plague to cause long, tough plants to erupt from the ground and trap their victims, allowing them to turn invisible from a distance and dart in and out of the melee. Once invisible, watchers use a charge to attack a foe.
