Huge Monstrosity, Neutral Evil
Armor Class 19
Hit Points 80 (11d12 + 6)
Speed 50 ft., The Aeon Behir is assumed to be capable of traveling through the demiplane of time by walking or floating along, as other native creatues do. Traits

Nonlinear Being. Being natives of the Demiplane of Time, they are non-linear beings.  As such, they are immune to any linear time-related effects (eg. Haste, Slow, etc), have Advantage to save against Chronomancy spells (unless otherwise stated), and cannot be the originating cause of a temporal paradox.

Actions

Multiattack. The behir makes five attacks: one with its bite and four claw attacks.  Each attack may be against a different target in range.

Lash Out in Frustration. If all targets move so that they are just out of range of the Aeon Behir's normal attacks, it will pick one single target, and then whip its entire body while grasping a lifeline with its tail and 4 hind legs, raking all 4 claws and chomping with its teeth as it stretches to hit that one single target.  Reach for this series of attacks is increased to 15 ft., but the Behir's to hit is reduced to +9.

Lash Out in Anger. If anyone attempts to pry loose any of the Aeon Behir's claws from grasping onto whichever lifeline it has currently attached itself to, it will become briefly enraged for that round.  It will automatically turn its full attention on the meddler, attacking with a bite and all 4 claw attacks, plus an additional claw attack for each claw the meddler managed to loose, if any.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 20 (3d8 + 8) piercing damage.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (2d8 + 7) slashing damage.

Annihilating Breath (Recharge 6). If the Aeon Behir drops below 50% health, it may decide to begin employing its breath attack.  It exhales a plume of what somewhat resembles the mist-smoke of the demiplane of time toward a single target up to 30 feet away.  The victim must make a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw, aging 20 years on a successful save, and rapidly aging to the point of crumbling to dust on a failed one.  Non-linear or otherwise timeless beings are immune to this attack.

Description

The Aeon Behir is a long and snake-like abomination, with four pairs of nightmarishly elongated legs unevenly spaced along its body. These legs are normally kept tucked up close to the body, giving the dangerous misconception of the beast having a short reach.  At least four of these legs grasp the nearest lifeline at any time.  Its legs and back are thickly decorated with large iridescent scales, while its belly is covered by a black leathery skin. The head is roughly reptilian, with a truncated snout unevenly filled with dagger-like teeth. Thankfully, these creatures exist only on the demiplane of time.

Being particularly malevelant creatures, they are more than happy to attack anyone at any time for any reason, or for no reason at all.  If they happen to find evidence of adventurers traveling through the demiplane of time, they will ruthlessly track and pursue those adventurers, until the trail is lost, or the adventurers are found.  Ambush is a favored tactic of theirs.

Aeon Behirs often travel in mated pairs.  Occasionally, they travel in threes, the third being a young offspring of the other two.  They enjoy collecting treasure from their victims, and store items of value in pouch-like folds in their belly skin.  Magic items too large to store there, which hold obvious value or utility, are sometimes dragged behind the Behir in one of their back claws.  If one such Behir is encountered with a dragged item, there is a 10% chance that it will attempt to use that item in combat.  Otherwise, it will be reduced to 3 claw attacks and 1 bite, as it refuses to let go of its prize.

They claw and scratch their way along the lifelines of the demiplane of time, and periodically stop to snap down and gnaw furiously on whichever lifeline they are climbing.  This doesn't seem to cause any actual damage to the lifeline, nor any harm to the owner of that lifeline in reality at the time corresponding to the Behir's bite, but interviews and investigations conducted by curious spellcasters determined that these owners always reported a disquieting, uneasy feeling, as though someone had walked over their graves, at those moments in time.  No other ill effects have ever been reported.
