2/day each: inflict wounds (2nd level version), blindness/deafness.

1/day each: inflict wounds (3rd level version), bestow curse, fear, feign death (the bear can choose that the target is also unconscious and if they gain resistances from this spell) , bane (instead of rolling a d4, affected creatures roll a d6)

Actions

Multiattack. The bear makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.

Additionally if the creature is successfully grappled it also suffers the effect of the bane spell and can't be affected by the bless spell for eight hours.

Description

Bad omen bears have black fur with orange stripes that originate from below their purple eyes that lack a pupil and sclera, to their tail. when one comes to a community or even a specific person, it is regarded as a bad omen.

Crusher of Hope. The bad omen these bears symbolize could mean a lot of different banes: death, poverty, bad luck and others. but legends say that sometimes when someone is very hopeful, that is when one of these bears will appear before them, to crush their hope.

Messengers of Gods. sometimes gods send these bears as a sign that they are not pleased with the behavior of their worshipers and to let them know that will receive a bane. a god or goddess could send a bad omen bear for other reasons such as to circumvent a hero or heroine from completing a task or journey that isn't meant to be completed, end someone's life or show denial for repentance for committing sins. no matter the reason a bad omen bear was sent by a god or a goddess, the holy symbol of the god or goddess appears on the bears forehead (or another part of the body, it could even appear more than once) ,some times the symbol is the result of a particular pattern of the fur and sometimes it will appear as detachable symbol made of metal or wood; the symbol doesn't appear if the god or goddess wish to keep their identity a secret.

A Secluded Life. When a bad omen bear is not on a quest or other duty they live a secluded life rarely with other good omen bears. Because of their celestial nature they do not need to eat, drink and sleep; but they can procreate like normal bears (most of the time that is the reason for two bad omen bears to be found near each other). they can rarely be found in the mountains of the material plane and more commonly in the mountains in the plane of the beastlands. although they are good aligned, they are very territorial and wish to be left alone, but sometimes they like to cause mischief to travelers.

Cubs. the cubs of a bad omen bear also symbolize a bad omen if it appears before a person or community, but most of the time it is regarded as a smaller bane relatively to one of an adult bad omen bear.

One Last Chance. When a bad omen bear appears with a good omen bear that usually mean one thing, a last chance to repent for committed sins and start a new page. If the person or community doesn't listen to the meaning of this omen and continue their evil ways, they will be punished.
