Swarm. The swarm can occupy another creature's space and vice versa, and the swarm can move through any opening large enough for a Tiny crow. The swarm can't regain hit points or gain temporary hit points.
The Blight. Within hours of the crows’ arrival to a new area, the Blight begins to corrupt the air and soil. Sensing its presence, animals become restless and crops begin to wither or take on strange colors. On day two, every Large or smaller creature of Monster Type Beast, Giant, Humanoid, or Plant within a quarter mile radius of the flock’s nesting ground must make a DC 5 Constitution save or become infected. Each day the flock stays, the DC to resist infection increases by 1 and the range increases by a quarter mile to a maximum of five miles. Once infected, the creature falls into a fevered coma within the hour at which point the transformation begins. During the coma, the creature can be healed with a lesser restoration spell. 6 hours later the creature awakens, fully transformed into one of the mutant horrors known as the Blighted (specifically, Blighted - Blight Spawn). At this point a greater restoration spell is required to restore them to their normal state. When the flock leaves an area, the Blight’s effects on the land withdraw at the same rate they spread but infected creatures remain infected.
Beaks. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target in the swarm's space. Hit: 7 (2d6) piercing damage, or 3 (1d6) piercing damage if the swarm has half of its hit points or fewer.
Description
“Them crows, they ain’t natural.” –Farmer Zebediah Dhurtt
Through wounds in the weave of space and time seeps the Blight, an insidious force that corrupts everything in touches. For most beings, the Blight is a curse. But nature is infinitely adaptable, and one creature has not only developed an immunity to its effects but learned to use it to its own advantage. An unusually intelligent species of crow acts as a carrier for the Blight, spreading it like a plague from town to town. The inevitable chaos that follows leaves plenty of corpses on which the crows feed. Once sated, they move on to the next populated area and begin the process anew.
