Unrelenting Hatred. The bone horror cannot be stunned, paralyzed, petrified, transformed, charmed, or commanded unless by a spell of 4th level or higher, or a similarly powerful effect. The destroy undead feature does not instantly destroy the bone horror, if it would be destroyed by it, the horror instead takes damage equal to triple the cleric's levels in cleric, and is turned.
Multiattack. The horror makes two melee attacks.
Horrid Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d8 + 3) slashing damage.
Bone Lash. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) piercing damage.
Description
DM note: The actual threat level of this creature is highly dependent on the party's ability to identify and target its vulnerabilities, or at very least avoid its resistances. It's technically a glass cannon, but it actually has high durability, meant to be offset by its multiple vulnerabilities. Attacks that deal normal damage to it are still somewhat ineffective, and attacks it resists barely hurt it at all. Rogues are all but useless against them without a sling. If you'd prefer to play it safe, consider this a CR 3 monster.
Lore:
While lesser necromancers may believe that the key to raising powerful undead is obtaining the corpses of powerful creatures, more cunning and powerful necromancers can go to lengths to refine the materials they have on hand. One result of such tinkering is the bone horror, a skeletal nightmare forged from the bones of many creatures. The bones are melded, shaped, and reinforced with dark magic to create an unliving weapon of great power and resilience, and even greater malice.
