Description
Bandits rove in gangs and are sometimes led by thugs, veterans, or spellcasters. Not all bandits are evil. Oppression, drought, disease, or famine can often drive otherwise honest folk to a life of banditry. Pirates are bandits of the high seas. They might be freebooters interested only in treasure and murder, or they might be privateers sanctioned by the crown to attack and plunder an enemy nation's vessels.

Posted Dec 16, 2021Better range than a longbow with a palm pistol? And since it's a ranged attack, the only way this guy can trigger the fire damage is if he takes a ranged attack at disadvantage for having someone within 5 ft. of him, a disadvantage attack with a crappy attack bonus and mediocre damage. You should add in a feature that allows it to shoot it's palm pistol without disadvantage when someone is next to him. Also, if bandits have their hands on guns, only the higher ranking and thus tougher bandits or the best shots would be allowed to carry them, so it would make sense for these guys to have slightly better stats. It's weak for a 1/2 cr anyway.
I apologize for being so critical, but I offer my criticism with the understanding that you can update this to a newer version and take or ignore whichever of my advice you like, or at the very least I've given you something to consider.
