Web Sense. While in contact with a web, the arachni-stag knows the exact location of any other creature in contact with the same web.

Web Walker. The aracni-stag ignores movement restrictions caused by webbing.

Charge. If the arachni-stag moves at least 20 ft. straight toward a target and then hits it with a ram attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 7 (2d6) damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 14 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Actions

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 7 (1d8 + 3) piercing damage, and the target must make a DC 11 Constitution saving throw, taking 9 (2d8) poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. If the poison damage reduces the target to 0 hit points, the target is stable but poisoned for 1 hour, even after regaining hit points, and is paralyzed while poisoned in this way.

Web (Recharge 5–6). Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, range 30/60 ft., one creature. Hit: The target is restrained by webbing. As an action, the restrained target can make a DC 12 Strength check, bursting the webbing on a success. The webbing can also be attacked and destroyed (AC 10; hp 5; vulnerability to fire damage; immunity to bludgeoning, poison, and psychic damage).

Ram. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: (2d6 + 4) bludgeoning damage.

Hooves. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one prone creature. Hit: 1d8 times (4d8 + 4) bludgeoning damage.

Description

A horrifying combination of a giant spider and a giant elk, the arachni-stag is the stuff of nightmares for any young inexperienced hunter. The arachni-stag stalks its prey through the woods at dark, capturing them in its sticky web-like substance before ramming them with its enormous horns.

Lair and Lair Actions

The arachni-stag's hunting grounds can be characterised by the decaying corpses of its prey strung up amongst the tree tops, a grim totem of the unfortunate death awaiting anyone unfortunate enough to cross its path in the night.

Capture Prey. If the arachni--stag successfully restrains a creature using its webbing, on its next turn it can take an action to use its webbing to attach the creature to the branch of a tree, suspending it 1d100 feet off of the ground.

Hidden Webbing. The arachni-stag hides its webbing in the undergrowth of the forest, making the terrain difficult. Every 60 feet a creature moves they have to make a DC 12 Dexterity Saving Throw to avoid becoming restrained.
