Amorphous. The Blood of Tharizdun can move through a space as narrow as 1 cm wide without squeezing.
Replicate. At the start of combat and anytime this trait is activated, roll a 1d4. In that many rounds, the Blood of Tharizdun will create an identical copy of itself in an adjacent space with the same stats, conditions, and remaining hit points. If no adjacent spaces are available, the replicating Blood of Tharizdun will heal for an amount equal to its current hit points. If a Blood of Tharizdun replicates while attached to a creature, the new instance is also attached to that creature.
Cling: When a Blood of Tharizdun makes a successful attack with it's Pseudopod, it attaches to the target and applies one level of exhaustion. Multiple instances of the Blood of Tharizdun can attach to a single creature. If six or more instances attach to a single creature, instead of death occurring, the target's STR score is reduced by 1 point for each Blood of Tharizdun attached. A creature can detach a Blood of Tharizdun by making a successful DC 13 Strength check as an action. Upon taking cold or thunder damage, the Blood of Tharizdun must make a DC 12 Constitution check or it detaches from the target, moving to any adjacent spaces.
Pseudopod. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 3 (1d4+1) bludgeoning damage, and the Blood of Tharizdun attaches to the target.
Drain Lifeforce. An attached Blood of Tharizdun automatically succeeds in hitting the target it is attached to. Dealing 5 (1d4+3) piercing damage (This attack is magical for the purposes of overcoming resistances)
Description
The Blood of Tharizdun appears as a black or dark red floating sphere that is slightly transparent. It floats in the air at varying heights and is rarely seen making contact with surfaces. When moving, the Blood of Tharizdun exhibits fluid and gas like properties. There are no obvious signs of how the Blood of Tharizdun is able to float through the air.
The Blood of Tharizdun exhibits hive mind behavior, reacting in unison and coordinating it attacks with other Blood of Tharizdun's to overwhelm it's target(s). When under stress, the Blood of Tharizdun will produce copies of itself to help overwhelm its prey.
The Blood of Tharizdun is almost always found in groups, floating nearby others of it's kind. Upon close inspection, they appear to be made up of thousands of microscopic organisms which cling together. Upon the mass taking heavy damage, any surviving organisms disperse.
