Multiattack. The shambling mound makes two bite attacks.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) Piercing damage.

Bind. The Vine Serpent coils around a Medium or smaller creature. The target must make a dexterity saving throw of DC 15 or take 3 (1d6) piercing damage and 3 (1d6) bludgeoning damage, and become grappled by the Vine Serpent. On a success, the target takes no damage and isn't grappled. If the Vine Serpent successfully grapples the target, it then uses the swallow  action on its next turn.

Swallow. The Vine Serpent swalllows a Medium or smaller creature grappled by it. The engulfed target is blinded, restrained, and unable to breathe, and it must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw at the start of each of the mound's turns or take 13 (2d8 + 4) acid damage and 7 (2d6) piercing damage. If the snake moves, the swallowed target moves with it. The mound can have only one creature swallowed at a time.

Description

A terrifying bind of plants, slithering through the forest floor. The vine serpent is a carnivorous plant that hunts for its prey to satisfy its appetite. When it finds a meal, the vine serpent swallows it whole, and waits for it to decompose in its body, until it was rotten enough for it to gain nutrient from the now dead creature.
