Description

One of the most skittish and playful of all the dragons, valentine dragons travel around spreading joy and happiness everywhere they can to all the nice people. These dragons adore seeing the other creatures show public signs of affection and revel in what they coined as 'shipping' two different people together, regardless of if those two people actually like each other. They make their homes in forested mountains besides a pond or lake, were they can get a constant source of fresh water and air.

With bright-striking pink eyes and slightly receded nasal openings, a valentine dragon’s face resembles a candy heart. Its curved frills are a bright red-color near the base and brighten into a light pink at the tips. As a valentine dragon ages it barely grows any larger, a valentine dragon's head is marked by colorful-pink frills and prominent heart-shaped scales with a dazzling hue. Its tail has a sharp, spear-like tip which pierces hearts and causing lovebirds to sing, out of the light air, the dragon exudes a feeling of love, happiness and joy.

When it hatches, a valentine dragon has glossy red and pink scales. As it ages, its scales become thicker and retain there gloss, helping it strike out, bringing joy and happiness to those around them. Valentine dragons pair for life and if a valentine dragons paired partner betrays them, the valentine dragon's scales change into dark reds and lightened black hues, they grow to be two times their original size and become bitter and hateful to any and all shows of affection.

Skittish and Playful. All valentine dragons are of a chaotic good to chaotic neutral alignment, out of all dragons valentine dragons have the most dramatic and fastest mental alignment shift; if ever betrayed by their partner they change alignment to chaotic evil and go from a sickly affectionate and playful personality to a hateful and vengeful one. A valentine dragon lives to bring joy and spread happiness, while a demonic valentine dragon exists to snuff out joy and is elated at seeing the sorrow of another when everything they love is taken from them before finishing them off.

A valentine dragon strikes at its enemies hearts, piercing them with a temporary charm to cool their heads and blinding them with a lovely puff of cinnamon before running away to safety. If the enemy calms down sufficiently and treats the valentine dragon with friendliness, they might be tempted to come out of hiding. On the verge of defeat, a valentine dragon does anything it can to save itself and hide.
