Description
These archers are trained to shoot arrows while riding their horses, often using clever formations and tactics, such as the Parthian shot. They are skirmishing ranged troops that assist the army in peppering enemy infantry with arrows and luring them out of formation, then galloping safely away. The Ayyubid horse archers are skilled at desert warfare, and played a key role in Saladin's army, fatally wounding the crusader army with a hail of withering arrows. Ayyubids believe in Sunni Islam.
