Regeneration. The vampire regains 10 hit points at the start of its turn if it has at least 1 hit point and isn't in sunlight or running water. If the vampire takes radiant damage or damage from holy water, this trait doesn't function at the start of the vampire's next turn.
Spider Climb. The vampire can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.
Vampire Weaknesses. The vampire has the following flaws:
Forbiddance. The vampire can't enter a residence without an invitation from one of the occupants.
Harmed by Running Water. The vampire takes 20 acid damage when it ends its turn in running water.
Stake to the Heart. The vampire is destroyed if a piercing weapon made of wood is driven into its heart while it is incapacitated in its resting place.
Sunlight Hypersensitivity. The vampire takes 20 radiant damage when it starts its turn in sunlight. While in sunlight, it has disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks.
Infernal Eminence. As a bonus action, Lady Wachter can expend a spell slot to cause her claw attacks to magically deal an extra 10 (3d6) necrotic damage to a target on a hit. This benefit lasts until the end of the turn. If Lady Wachter expends a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the extra damage increases by 1d6 for each level above 1st.
Inescapable Destruction. Necrotic damage dealt by the Lady Wachter’s cleric spells and Channel Divinity options ignores resistance to necrotic damage.
Spellcasting. Lady Wachter is a 9th-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 13, +5 to hit with spell attacks). The priest has the following cleric spells prepared:
Cantrips (at will): light, sacred flame, thaumaturgy, Toll the Dead
1st level (4 slots): bane, guiding bolt, sanctuary, inflict wounds,Command, false life, ray of sickness
2nd level (3 slots): hold person, spiritual weapon, gentle repose, blindness/deafness, ray of enfeeblement
3rd level (3 slots): dispel magic, spirit guardians, bestow curse, animate dead, vampiric touch
4th level (3 slots):guardian of faith,banishment, blight, death ward
5th level (1 slot): geas, antilife shell, cloudkill
Multiattack. Lady Wachter makes two attacks, only one of which can be a bite attack.
Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 8 (2d4 + 3) slashing damage. Instead of dealing damage, Lady Wachter can grapple the target (escape DC 14).
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one willing creature, or a creature that is grappled by Lady Wachter, incapacitated, or restrained. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) piercing damage plus 7 (2d6) necrotic damage. The target's hit point maximum is reduced by an amount equal to the necrotic damage taken, and Lady Wachter regains hit points equal to that amount. The reduction lasts until the target finishes a long rest. The target dies if this effect reduces its hit point maximum to 0.
Description
Raised as a vampire by Lord Strahd after her death, Lady Wachter's power has more than doubled. She is a 9th-Level Death Domain cleric serving Strahd and the Dark Powers.
Lady Fiona Wachter makes no secret of her family’s long-standing loyalty to the von Zarovich line. She believes that Strahd von Zarovich is no tyrant but, at worst, a negligent landlord. She would happily serve Strahd as burgomaster of Vallaki, but she knows that Baron Vargas Vallakovich won’t give up his birthright without a fight.
