Unexpected Shadow; If the tentacle makes physical contact with a target before the target has noticed it, the target makes a WIS saving throw (DC 16). Failure gives the target a single level of exhaustion, while success alerts the target to the Void Tentacle's presence.
Friction with the Void; +5 to hit; The Void Tentacle reaches out, caressing the target in an almost gentle way, dealing 2d6 psychic damage. The target makes an STR saving throw, DC 5 + damage; on a failure, the target is grappled (movement speed is zero).
Spear of Darkness; +7 to hit; The Void Tentacle detaches itself, throwing itself at the target - this kills the Void Tentacle. The target takes 2d8 magical piercing damage, and makes a CON saving throw. On a failure, the target is poisoned (1d10 - CON poison damage each turn). The target may repeat it's CON save a the END of each turn.
Shadow-dweller's Retreat; when the Void Tentacle is dealt damage greater than or equal to half its remaining HP, it may take this reaction and retreat into the shadows. This action does not allow for an attack of opportunity.
Friction with the Void; the Void Tentacle makes a single melee attack.
