It is believed that the Wampa is a primitive ancestor to the Yeti. Unlike the Yeti, it lives a solitary existence and lacks the intelligence of the Yeti. Because of this, it lacks the Chilling Gaze possessed by their more evolved cousins. Despite this disadvantage, its natural camouflage and brute strength make it a dangerous foe to encounter.
The Wampa is an apex predator in the tundra and artic, often feeding on larger mammoths and sabretooth tigers. It will often make homes in icy caverns where it hangs its food for future meals.
Description
Wampas are large humanoid monstrosities that hunt the artic and frozen hunt for food. Their snow-white fur and silent movement let them move unnoticed within the frozen landscape. Their broad stature and hunched gait separate them from their smaller, more civilized cousins.
