Traits

Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the dragon fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.

Keen Hearing and Smell. Ankruc The World Eater has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell.

Actions

Multiattack. Ankruc The World Eater can use its Frightful Presence. It then makes two attacks: both with its bite.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 18 (2d10 + 7) piercing damage plus 5 (1d10) lightning damage. If the target is a Large or smaller creature, it must succeed on a DC 19 Dexterity saving throw or be swallowed by Ankruc The World Eater. A swallowed creature is blinded and restrained, it has total cover against attacks and other effects outside Ankruc The World Eater, and it takes 21 (6d6) acid damage at the start of each of Ankruc The World Eater's turns. If Ankruc The World Eater takes 30 damage or more on a single turn from a creature inside it, Ankruc The World Eater must succeed on a DC 21 Constitution saving throw at the end of that turn or regurgitate all swallowed creatures, which fall prone in a space within 10 feet of Ankruc The World Eater. If Ankruc The World Eater dies, a swallowed creature is no longer restrained by it and can escape from the corpse by using 20 feet of movement, exiting prone

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (2d8 + 7) bludgeoning damage.

Frightful Presence. Each creature of Ankruc The World Eater's choice that is within 120 feet of Ankruc The World Eater and aware of it must succeed on a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to Ankruc The World Eater's Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours.

Lightning Breath (Recharge 5–6). Ankruc The World Eater exhales lightning in a 120-foot line that is 30 feet wide. Each creature in that line must make a DC 19 Dexterity saving throw, taking 66 (12d10) lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Teleport (Recharge 4-6). Ankruc The World Eatermagically teleports, along with any equipment it is wearing or carrying, up to 300 ft. to an unoccupied space it can see. Before or after teleporting, Ankruc The World Eater can make one bite attack.

Legendary Actions

Ankruc The World Eater can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. Ankruc The World Eater regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Detect. Ankruc The World Eater makes a Wisdom (Perception) check.

Slam Attack. Ankruc The World Eater makes a slam attack.

Roar (Costs 2 Actions). Ankruc The World Eater roars, sending compressed air in front of it. Each creature in a 30 foot cone in front of Ankruc The World Eater must succeed on a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw or take 14 (2d6 + 7) bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. Ankruc The World Eater can then burrow up to half its burrowing speed.

Description

A giant monster that Shalla Zad created. She fused a blue dragon for its breath weapon and fast attacks, a purple worm for its size and poison, and a blink dog for its obedience and teleportation. It was originally made to be a god killer, but Finita trapped it in a pocket dimension called The Sands Of Time. It is a giant blue worm with the head of a dragon and large green spikes along its back. It is absolutely massive with a total length of 1,200 feet and a body diameter of 100 feet. Each of its teeth is about 6 feet long and filled with acid from its purple worm ancestry.

Lair and Lair Actions

Ankruc The World Eater is trapped in a timeless pocket dimension called The Sands Of Time. The pocket dimension is a large desert with an interesting type of sand, the sand causes negative effects such as increased aging and extremely dangerous sand.

It is very common that people have to travel through The Sands Of Time by boat if they do at all.

Lair Actions

On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), Ankruc The World Eater takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects; Ankruc The World Eater can’t use the same effect two rounds in a row:

  • The Sands Of Time begins to suck the life out of one creature that Ankruc The World Eater can see within 120 feet of it. The creature must succeed on a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or take 10 (3d6) necrotic damage and age 1d10 years. The aging can be reversed by spending an amount of time outside of The Sands Of Time equal to 1 hour for every year aged.
  • A cloud of sand swirls about in a 20-foot-radius sphere centered on a point Ankruc The World Eater can see within 120 feet of it. The cloud spreads around corners. Each creature in the cloud must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or be blinded for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
  • A thunderclap originates at a point Ankruc The World Eater can see within 120 feet of it. Each creature within a 20-foot radius centered on that point must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or take 5 (1d10) thunder damage and be deafened until the end of its next turn.

Regional Effects

The pocket dimension containing a Ankruc The World Eater’s lair is warped by the Finita’s magic, which creates all of the following effects:

  • Thunderstorms rage within The Sands Of Time with Rualin’s assistance.
  • Dust devils wander about The Sands Of Times. A dust devil has the statistics of an air elemental, but it can’t fly, has a speed of 50 feet, and has an Intelligence and Charisma of 1 (−5).
  • Hidden sinkholes form in The Sands Of Time. A sinkhole can be spotted from a safe distance with a successful DC 17 Wisdom (Perception) check. Otherwise, the first boat or creature to travel over the soft sand covering the sinkhole is instantly pulled 5 feet into the sand. At the beginning of a creature’s turn, if they are in the sand, they take 10 (3d6) fire damage from the hot sand plus 3 (1d6) damage from suffocation if they are fully submerged into the sand. On subsequent turns, a creature may take their action to attempt a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, being pulled 5 feet into the sand on a failed save, or push 5 feet closer to being out of the sand on a successful one. Boats are automatically pushed out of the sand after 1 round. The same effect happens if any creature touches The Sands Of Time.

If Ankruc The World Eater dies, The Sands Of Time completely disappear and a barren grassland replaces it.
