Spider Climb. The harpoon spider can climb difficult surfaces including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.
Spellcasting. A creature that touches the harpoon spider or hits it with a melee attack while within 5 feet of it takes 5 (1d10) piercing damage.
Harpooning. A harpoon spider can fire one of its two fangs up to 50 feet. A successful hit hooks the flesh of the target and immediately exudes a thick, sticky glue. The spider can reel in a harpooned creature using the Reel action. A harpoon spider can only pull a creature smaller than itself in this manner. Attempts to retract a creature of its own size or larger cause the fang to rip free.
Multiattack. The harpoon spider makes two attacks with its claws and one with its bite. If desired, it can use Harpoon and Reel in place of its bite.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (1d10+5) piercing damage and the target must make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw, taking 22 (4d10) poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d6+5) slashing damage.
Harpoon. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 25 ft., one creature. Hit: The target suffers 1d8+5 piercing damage and is grappled (escape DC 15). Until the grapple ends, the target is restrained and has disadvantage on Strength checks and Strength saving throws, and the spider can't use the same harpoon on another target.
Reel. The harpoon spider pulls a creature grappled by its harpoon attack up to 25 feet straight toward it.
