Empowered Spells. Whenever the spellcaster casts a spell of the evocation school by expending a spell slot, the spellcaster can add its spellcasting ability modifier to the spell’s damage roll or healing roll, if any.
Portent. The Tortle Divination Mage can roll two d20s and record the numbers rolled. You can replace any attack roll, saving throw, or ability check made by you or a creature that you can see with one of these foretelling rolls. You must choose to do so before the roll, and you can replace a roll in this way only once per turn.
Spellcasting (Mage). The spellcaster’s spellcasting ability is Intelligence (spell save DC 17, +9 to hit with spell attacks). The spellcaster has following wizard spells prepared:
Cantrips (at will): fire bolt, light, mage hand, minor illusion, shocking grasp
1st level (4 slots): burning hands, shield, sleep
2nd level (4 slots): misty step, immovable object
3rd level (3 slots): pulse wave, slow
4th level (3 slots): greater invisibility, polymorph
5th level (2 slots): cone of cold, temporal shunt
6th level (1 slot): chain lightning
Staff of Nature. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 3 (1d6) bludgeoning damage, or 4 (1d8) bludgeoning damage if used with two hands.
The staff can cast the heat metal spell once per long rest.
Description
Urgalak begins combat by casting Greater Invisibility on himself and running to the nearest cover. He then uses his staff to cast Heat Metal on anyone wearing plate armor. He will Temporal Shunt or Portent any bigtime spells or attacks.
