Multiattack. The Ancient Wyvern makes two attacks: one with its bite and one with its stinger. While flying, it can make an additional two attacks with its claws.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 10 ft., one creature. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) piercing damage.
Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) slashing damage. A Large or Medium creature struck by a claw attack is grappled. If successful the Ancient Wyvern can continue to move at full speed while carrying its target. The grapple ends when the Wyvern lands or when the target meets a DC 19 escape check. The Ancient Wyvern cannot use its claws for further attacks while grappling, but has advantage on other attacks against a grappled opponent. Only one creature may be grappled at a time and Small or smaller creatures are too small to grapple.
Stinger. Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 10 ft., one creature. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) piercing damage. The target must make a DC 17 Constitution saving throw, taking 48 (14d6) poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Description
Cousins to the great dragons, wyverns have two scaly legs, leathery wings, and a sinewy tail topped with a poison stinger that can kill a creature in seconds.
This rare example has grown to excessive size and appetite. It can carry its victims into the air to finish them off and devour them on the spot.
