Description

The Bear-Owl was an arcanists attempt to reverse engineer the Owlbear. Instead, they created a more terrifying version of the owl. Four large talons are bolstered by a thick frame covered in muscle and feathers. Its beak became serrated like fangs for carving up fresh kills. It's superior vision and ability to stealthily take down prey make it an ideal hunter, and a terrifying encounter for the unprepared. Worse of all, they tend to form family groups. Mated pairs can be found hunting together frequently, though they thankfully do not have a pack hunting mentality, they are competitive hunters.
